This subject provides opportunities for students to understand the wide-ranging practice areas of relevance to occupational therapy. Students will complete a 90-hour project placement across the semester in partnership with diverse health and community-based service providers. Through a variety of experiential, self-directed, and flexible learning opportunities provided through class practicums and practice placement activities, students will develop critical occupational therapy skills and competence in communication, professional behaviours, ethical practice, critical reflection, quality improvement and project management.
